The MAX1237EUA is a low-power, 12-bit, multi-channel analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices. It includes an internal track/hold, voltage reference, clock, and an I2C-compatible 2-wire serial interface. This device operates from a single supply of 2.7V to 3.6V and consumes minimal power, requiring only 670µA at the maximum sampling rate of 94.4ksps. AutoShutdown™ further reduces supply current to less than 1µA between conversions at low throughput rates.

 

The MAX1237EUA features four analog input channels. Its fully differential analog inputs are software configurable for unipolar or bipolar, and single-ended or differential operation. The full-scale analog input range is determined by the internal 2.048V reference or an externally applied reference voltage ranging from 1V to VDD. The device supports I2C Fast Mode (400kHz) and High-Speed Mode (1.7MHz).

 

This ADC is available in an 8-pin µMAX package and is guaranteed for operation over the extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. Its low power consumption, flexible input configuration, and small package make it suitable for various applications requiring precise analog-to-digital conversion.
