The MAX1237EUA+ is a low-power, 12-bit, multi-channel analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated. It integrates a track/hold circuit, voltage reference, clock, and an I2C-compatible 2-wire serial interface.
This device operates from a single supply voltage of 2.7V to 3.6V and requires minimal current, consuming only 670µA at its maximum sampling rate of 94.4kSPS. AutoShutdown™ further reduces power consumption between conversions to less than 1µA at low throughput rates.
The MAX1237EUA+ features four analog input channels that are software configurable for unipolar or bipolar, and single-ended or differential operation. The full-scale analog input range is determined by either the internal 2.048V reference or an externally applied reference voltage ranging from 1V to VDD. The ADC utilizes a Successive Approximation Register (SAR) architecture.
Available in an 8-pin µMAX package, the MAX1237EUA+ is guaranteed for operation over the extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. Its high-speed I2C interface supports both 400kHz Fast Mode and 1.7MHz High-Speed Mode.
