MAX1190ECM+D Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The MAX1190ECM+D is a dual 10-bit, 120Msps analog-to-digital converter (ADC) designed for high-dynamic performance, low power consumption, and small size. It operates from a single 3.1V to 3.6V supply.

This ADC features fully differential wideband track-and-hold (T/H) inputs driving two ADCs, with T/H driven input stages incorporating 400MHz (-3dB) input amplifiers. It can also be operated with single-ended inputs. The device consumes 492mW during normal operation and features low-power modes including a 3mA sleep mode and a 1µA power-down mode.

Key electrical specifications include a typical Signal-to-Noise and Distortion Ratio (SINAD) of 57dB at an input frequency of 60MHz. An internal 2.048V precision bandgap reference is included, with a flexible reference structure allowing for an externally applied reference. The digital output format can be set to two’s complement or straight offset binary.

The MAX1190ECM+D is available in a 48-pin TQFP-EP package measuring 7mm x 7mm and is specified for the extended industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. Its parallel, CMOS-compatible three-state outputs provide flexible interfacing with various logic families, supported by a separate output power supply range of 1.7V to 3.6V.
