The MACOM MASWSS0179TR-3000 is a GaAs Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) switch designed for wireless communication systems. It features low insertion loss of less than 0.7 dB up to 2 GHz and high isolation of up to 28 dB. The device boasts a very high intercept point of 52 dBm IP3 and a P1dB of 30 dBm, making it suitable for applications in cellular, PCS, and GSM systems.
Fabricated using a 0.5-micron gate length GaAs pHEMT process, this switch is housed in a lead-free SOT-26 surface mount plastic package. It is ideal for applications where low power consumption, low intermodulation products, small size, and low cost are critical. Typical applications include internal/external antenna select switches for portable telephones and data radios, as well as conventional T/R switches or antenna diversity switches.
