The MA702GQ-Z from Monolithic Power Systems is a 12-bit digital, contactless angle sensor that accurately detects the absolute angular position of a permanent magnet. It supports high-speed measurements up to 60,000 rpm and is suitable for both end-of-shaft and off-axis mounting configurations.
Key features include a 12-bit resolution for absolute angle encoding, contactless sensing for extended lifespan, and an SPI serial interface for digital angle readout and configuration. The sensor also provides a 10-bit ABZ quadrature encoder interface with programmable pulses per turn (1-256) and a 12-bit PWM output. Programmable magnetic field strength detection is included for diagnostic checks.
Operating at a 3.3V supply, the MA702GQ-Z functions within an extended temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. It is available in a compact 16-QFN (3mmx3mm) package, suitable for surface mount applications. This sensor is ideal for general-purpose angle measurement, angle encoders, automotive sensors, and robotics applications.
