The MA4SW410B-1 is a Silicon SP4T PIN Diode Switch with an integrated bias network, manufactured by MACOM Technology Solutions. This device utilizes MACOM's HMIC™ process, offering broad bandwidth specified up to 18 GHz and usable up to 26 GHz. It is designed for applications requiring high isolation to insertion loss ratios, such as multi-band ECM, Radar, and instrumentation control circuits.
The switch exhibits low insertion loss, with typical values of 0.8 dB at 6 GHz, 1.0 dB at 12 GHz, and 1.4 dB at 18 GHz. Isolation is rated at 35 dB typical at 18 GHz. Input return loss is typically 10 dB at 6 GHz and 18 GHz, and 15 dB at 12 GHz. Switching speeds of 80 ns can be achieved with a standard +5 V / -5 V, TTL controlled PIN diode driver.
Constructed as a fully monolithic, glass-encapsulated chip, the MA4SW410B-1 features large bond pads for low inductance ribbon bonds and gold backside metallization for chip bonding. The operating temperature range is -65°C to 125°C. It is supplied in a Die package, with a Gel Pack option available for ordering.
