The MA144769-287T is a surface mount low power step recovery diode designed for use in low power multipliers with output frequencies up to 5 GHz. It generates harmonics by storing a charge as the diode is driven to forward conductance by the positive voltage of the input signal. When the signal reverses polarity, this charge is extracted, causing a voltage pulse in the impulse circuit of the multiplier.
This diode has a reverse voltage of 30V at 10µA, total capacitance of 0.8pF to 1.2pF at 6V and 1MHz, and a carrier lifetime of 150 ps. The transition time is 20-50 ns typical with a maximum of 150 ns. It operates over an input frequency range of 0.1 to 1.0 GHz and output frequency range of 1 to 5 GHz.
The device is housed in a SOT-23 surface mount package with gull wing terminations and is supplied on tape and reel. It is RoHS compliant and has an operating temperature range of -65°C to 125°C.
