The M74HC374RM13TR from STMicroelectronics is a high-speed CMOS octal D-type flip-flop featuring 3-state outputs. Fabricated with sub-micron silicon gate C2MOS technology, this 8-bit flip-flop is controlled by a clock input (CK) and an output enable input (OE).
On the positive transition of the clock, the Q outputs are set to the logic state that was set up at the D inputs. When the OE input is at a low level, the outputs are in a normal logic state. When OE is high, the outputs enter a high impedance state. This output control does not affect the internal operation of the flip-flops, allowing data retention even when outputs are off.
This device operates over a wide voltage range of 2V to 6V and boasts a maximum clock frequency of 90MHz at 6V. It also exhibits low power dissipation with a quiescent current of only 4μA at 25°C and high noise immunity. The flip-flop is pin and function compatible with the 74 Series 374.
The M74HC374RM13TR is supplied in a SOP package and is suitable for various digital logic applications requiring high-speed data storage and buffering.
