The STMicroelectronics M74HC174B1R is a high-speed CMOS HEX D-Type Flip Flop with Clear functionality, fabricated using silicon gate C2MOS technology. Information signals applied to the D inputs are transferred to the Q output on the positive-going edge of the clock pulse. When the CLEAR input is held low, the Q outputs are held low independently of the other inputs. All inputs are equipped with protection circuits against static discharge and transient excess voltage.
This flip flop operates over a wide voltage range of 2V to 6V and supports a maximum clock frequency of 66MHz typically at 6V. It exhibits low power dissipation with a quiescent current of 4µA maximum at 25°C. The device offers high noise immunity and symmetrical output impedance with |IOH| = IOL = 4mA minimum.
The M74HC174B1R is pin and function compatible with the 74 Series 174. It is housed in a 16-DIP package and is suitable for through-hole mounting. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 125°C (TA).
