The NuMicro® M451 Base series microcontroller, specifically the M451LD3AE model, is built around the ARM® Cortex®-M4 core. It is designed for operation within a voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V and a wide temperature range of -40°C to 105°C.

 

Key features include a maximum operating frequency of 72 MHz, 72 KB of Flash memory, and 16 KB of SRAM. It also offers configurable Data Flash. For analog interfacing, it provides a 12-bit ADC with up to 16 channels and a 12-bit DAC. Digital control is supported by 16-bit PWM outputs, with up to 12 channels available.

 

Connectivity options include up to 5 UARTs, 2 SPI interfaces, and 2 I²C interfaces operating up to 1 MHz. The device also includes I²S interfaces and a CRC engine for security. Clock control is managed by internal RC oscillators at 22.1184 MHz and 10 kHz, alongside support for external crystal oscillators.

 

This microcontroller is suitable for applications such as Industrial Automation, PLCs, Inverters, Home Automation, Portable Data Collectors, Smart Card Readers, and Motor Control. It offers high immunity with 8 kV ESD and 4 kV EFT protection. The package type is LQFP.
