The NuMicro® M252LE3AE is a low-power microcontroller built on the Arm® Cortex®-M23 core, supporting the Armv8-M architecture. It operates at speeds up to 48 MHz and includes 128 Kbytes of embedded Flash memory and 16 Kbytes of embedded SRAM. Additionally, it has 4 Kbytes of Flash loader memory (LDROM) for In-System Programming (ISP).
This 32-bit microcontroller supports a wide supply voltage range from 1.8 V to 5.5 V and operates within a temperature range of -40 °C to +105 °C. Its low power consumption is highlighted by figures like 138 µA/MHz in Normal Run mode and 2.5 µA in power-down mode with RTC on. These features make it suitable for battery-powered IoT applications.
The M252LE3AE offers advanced features such as 8 channels of Nuvoton's proprietary Programmable Serial I/O (PSIO) for emulating various serial communication protocols, and a Voltage Adjustable Interface (VAI) with 6 I/O pins supporting a second I/O voltage from 1.65 V to 5.5 V. Security is enhanced with a 1-region programmable eXecute-Only-Memory (XOM), 96-bit Unique Identification (UID), and 128-bit Unique Customer Identification (UCID).
Peripherals include Timers, Watchdog Timers, RTC, External Bus Interface (EBI), 37 GPIOs, up to 24 PWM channels, 3 UARTs, 3 USCIs, 1 QSPI, 1 SPI/I²S, 2 I2Cs, 1 ISO-7816-3 interface, and 8 PDMA channels. It also integrates analog front-end blocks like 12 channels of 12-bit 880 kSPS ADC, analog comparator, temperature sensor, LVR, and BOD.
