The NuMicro® M252LC2AE is a low-power microcontroller based on the Arm® Cortex®-M23 core, designed for Armv8-M architecture. It operates at speeds up to 48 MHz and includes 32 Kbytes of embedded Flash memory and 12 Kbytes of embedded SRAM. Additionally, it features 4 Kbytes of Flash loader memory (LDROM) for In-System Programming (ISP).
This 32-bit microcontroller supports a wide supply voltage range from 1.8V to 5.5V and an operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C. Its low power consumption in various modes makes it suitable for battery-powered IoT applications. The M252LC2AE integrates Nuvoton's proprietary Programmable Serial I/O (PSIO) interface with 4 channels, capable of emulating arbitrary serial communication protocols. It also features a Voltage Adjustable Interface (VAI) with 6 I/O pins supporting a second I/O voltage from 1.65V to 5.5V.
For security, the M252LC2AE series provides a 1-region programmable eXecute-Only-Memory (XOM), a tamper pin, 96-bit Unique Identification (UID), and 128-bit Unique Customer Identification (UCID). It is equipped with numerous peripherals including Timers, Watchdog Timers, RTC, 37 GPIOs, up to 24 PWM channels, 2 USCI, 3 UARTs, 1 QSPI, 1 SPI/I²S, 2 I²C, 1 ISO-7816-3, and 5 PDMA channels.
The device integrates high-performance analog front-end blocks such as 12 channels of 12-bit 880 kSPS ADC, an analog comparator (ACMP), a temperature sensor, and low voltage reset (LVR). The M252LC2AE is available in a 48-LQFP package and is suitable for applications like LED lighting control and connecting comprehensive external modules.
