M031SD2AE Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The Nuvoton NuMicro® M031 series, including the M031SD2AE, features 32-bit microcontrollers powered by an Arm® Cortex®-M0 CPU with a 32-bit hardware multiplier/divider. These devices are designed for applications requiring a 1.8V low-voltage interface connection and operate within a voltage range of 1.8V to 3.6V, with 5V I/O tolerance. They run at speeds up to 48/72 MHz and can withstand temperatures from -40°C to 105°C.

The M031 series offers enhanced peripherals such as a 12-bit ADC with a 2 MSPS conversion rate, comparators, and up to 24-channel PWM control. It includes flexible Universal Serial Control Interfaces (USCI) configurable as UART, SPI, or I²C, with multiple sets of UART, SPI, and I²C interfaces available. Flash memory sizes range from 16 KB to 512 KB, and SRAM sizes range from 2 KB to 96 KB.

Supported packages include small form factor options like TSSOP20 and TSSOP28, as well as QFN33, LQFP48, LQFP64, and LQFP128. Pin-compatibility across different part numbers simplifies system design and part changes. Advanced features include support for single-wire UART half-duplex mode up to 6 Mbps and UART operation in power-down mode using an internal 38.4 kHz LIRC.

Target applications for the M031 series include Laser Distance Meters, Air Detectors/Cleaners, Mobile LCD Panel Controllers, IoT Sensing Devices, Micro Printers, Gaming Keyboards and Mice, and WPC Wireless Chargers.
