The Lumileds LUXEON 3030 2D is a mid-power LED designed for high flux applications such as retrofit bulbs, downlights, and high bay luminaires. It is the first mid-power LED with hot color targeting, ensuring performance within ANSI specifications at real-life operating temperatures. This feature prevents undesirable color shifts that can occur at different application temperatures.
The LUXEON 3030 2D utilizes a new 1/9th micro color binning structure, allowing designers to accurately select 3 or 5-step MacAdam Ellipse kits for optimal color control. This enables precise pairing of different bins to achieve specific color points.
Key specifications include leading efficacy of up to 133 lm/W for cool white and 125 lm/W for warm white at 120mA and 25°C. Typical warm white performance is 87 lm at 80 CRI at 120 mA. When driven at its maximum drive current of 240 mA, the LUXEON 3030 2D can deliver 160 lm at 6500K and 80 CRI. The lumen output is 10-15 percent higher than previous generation 2-die mid-power emitters.
The LED is housed in an epoxy molding compound (EMC) QFN package, providing exceptional reliability and excellent lumen maintenance. Its industry-standard package allows for drop-in replacement for existing 3030 LED packages.
