LTR-329ALS-01

The LTR-329ALS-01 from Lite-On Inc. is a low-voltage I2C digital ambient light sensor designed for applications requiring accurate light intensity measurements. This sensor features a wide dynamic range from 0.01 lux to 64k lux, making it suitable for use in environments with varying brightness levels.

With a supply voltage range of 2.4V to 3.6V and an operating temperature range of -30°C to 70°C, the LTR-329ALS-01 is versatile for various electronic devices. It offers a 16-bit effective resolution and includes a built-in temperature compensation circuit for stable performance. The sensor automatically rejects 50/60 Hz lighting flicker and is immune to IR/UV light sources.

This ambient light sensor is housed in an ultra-small, lead-free 4-Pin ChipLED surface mount package (4-VDFN). Its I2C interface operates at up to 400kbit/s, facilitating easy integration into embedded systems. The sensor is ideal for controlling display backlights in mobile devices, computing devices, and consumer electronics.

Key features include a close-to-human-eye spectral response and six configurable gain settings (1X, 2X, 4X, 8X, 48X, and 96X) for user-defined sensitivity. It also includes a low active power consumption mode with standby capability.
