The LTM4600HVIV#PBF is a complete 10A step-down DC/DC μModule (power module) from Analog Devices Inc./Maxim Integrated. It integrates the switching controller, power FETs, inductor, and support components in a compact 104-LGA package measuring 15mm x 15mm x 2.8mm.
Operating over an input voltage range of 4.5V to 28V, the module provides an adjustable output voltage from 0.6V to 5V, set by a single external resistor. The output current rating is 10A continuous with 12A peak capability. Typical efficiency is 92%. The module uses an adaptive on-time current mode architecture for fast transient response.
Designed for point-of-load regulation in telecom, networking, industrial, and avionics systems. The low profile package enables use on the bottom of PCBs for high-density designs. Only bulk input and output capacitors are required to complete the design. The module is mountable via surface mount and is RoHS compliant with gold pad finish.
Protection features include integrated overvoltage and short circuit protection with a defeatable shutdown timer. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C. The module is suitable for automated assembly by standard SMT equipment.
