The Analog Devices LTC4555EUD#TRPBF is a SIM power supply and level translator IC designed for 2.5G and 3G cellular telephones. It provides power conversion and signal level shifting to interface with 1.8V or 3V subscriber identity modules (SIMs) and smart cards, meeting ETSI, IMT-2000, and ISO7816 requirements.

 

This IC features an LDO linear regulator capable of supplying SIM power at either 1.8V or 3V with up to 50mA of load current, from an input voltage range of 3V to 6V. Internal level translators allow controllers operating with supplies as low as 1.2V to interface with 1.8V or 3V smart cards. The device maximizes battery life with a low 20µA operating current and less than 1µA shutdown current.

 

The LTC4555EUD#TRPBF is available in a low-profile, 16-pin, 3mm x 3mm QFN package, suitable for surface mount applications. It offers 14kV ESD protection on all SIM contact pins.
