The LTC4331IUFD#TRPBF from Analog Devices is a point-to-point SMBus compatible I2C slave device extender engineered for robust operation in noisy industrial settings. Utilizing a ±60V fault-protected differential transceiver, this IC can extend an I2C/SMBus bus, including SMBALERT and a control signal, over a single twisted pair differential link up to 1200 meters.
Key features include operation up to 1MHz Fast-mode Plus (Fm+), selectable link baud rates, and tolerance to large ground differences due to an extended common mode operating range of ±15V.
