The LTC3873-5 is a constant frequency current mode controller designed for boost, flyback, or SEPIC DC/DC converters. It drives an N-channel MOSFET for high input and output voltage applications.
Key features include a wide input and output voltage range limited only by external components, constant 200kHz operation, and adjustable current limit. The controller offers ±1.5% voltage reference accuracy and operates with a low quiescent current of 300μA during normal operation and 50μA during micropower start-up. It also includes an undervoltage threshold of 4.1V suitable for logic-level MOSFET applications.
This device supports internal or programmable external soft-start. The LTC3873-5 is available in a low profile 8-lead ThinSOT package.
