The LTC3824EMSE#TRPBF is a high voltage step-down DC/DC controller designed by Analog Devices (formerly Linear Technology) to drive an external P-channel MOSFET. With a wide input voltage range from 4V to 60V, it is suitable for demanding industrial and automotive applications.
This controller operates in constant frequency current mode, offering excellent performance. It can be configured for Burst Mode operation, which enhances low current efficiency and extends battery run time, consuming only 40µA of quiescent current. The switching frequency is programmable from 200kHz to 600kHz and can be easily synchronized.
Key features include programmable soft-start, programmable current limit, micropower shutdown, and Burst Mode disable. The LTC3824 is available in a 10-lead thermally enhanced MSE package, designed for surface mount applications.
