The LTC3625EDE#TRPBF is a programmable supercapacitor charger designed to charge two supercapacitors in series. It operates from a 2.7V to 5.5V input supply and provides automatic cell balancing to prevent overvoltage damage. This IC is suitable for small form factor backup or high peak power systems.
Key features include high efficiency, high charging current, and low quiescent current. The charging current is programmable with an external resistor, supporting up to 500mA with a single inductor or 1A with a dual inductor. The device offers selectable regulation voltages per cell, either 2.4V/2.65V for the LTC3625 or 2V/2.25V for the LTC3625-1.
