The Analog Devices LTC3407EMSE#TRPBF is a dual, constant frequency, synchronous step-down DC/DC converter designed for low power applications. It operates from a 2.5V to 5.5V input voltage range and features a constant 1.5MHz switching frequency, enabling the use of small, low-cost passive components.
Each output voltage is adjustable from 0.6V to 5V. The internal synchronous 0.35Ω, 1A power switches provide high efficiency up to 96% without the need for external Schottky diodes. The device offers very low quiescent current of only 40μA and ultralow shutdown current of less than 1μA, maximizing battery life. It also features short-circuit protection and low dropout operation with a 100% duty cycle.
This regulator is available in a small, thermally enhanced 10-MSOP-EP package, suitable for surface mount applications. Its design is ideal for portable media players, PDAs, digital cameras, cellular phones, and other battery-powered devices requiring efficient power conversion.
