The LT4220IGN#PBF is a 16-pin dual voltage Hot Swap controller from Analog Devices, enabling safe insertion and removal of boards from live backplanes. It operates with positive supplies from 2.7V to 16.5V and negative supplies from -2.7V to -16.5V.
Key features include analog current limit with foldback, automatic retry or latchoff after a current fault, and dual undervoltage lockout comparator inputs. The device allows for safe board insertion and removal from a live backplane, making it suitable for applications like RAID systems and industrial controls.
