The LT3790EFE#TRPBF is a versatile synchronous 4-switch buck-boost voltage and current regulator controller designed by Analog Devices. It is capable of regulating output voltage, output current, or input current, with input voltages that can be above, below, or equal to the output voltage.
This controller features a wide input voltage range of 4.7V to 60V and a constant-frequency, current-mode architecture. The operating frequency can be adjusted or synchronized from 200kHz to 700kHz. It offers high efficiency, up to 98.5%, and provides seamless transitions between operating regions. The LT3790 is suitable for voltage regulator and battery/super-capacitor charger applications in automotive, industrial, and telecom systems.
Key features include input and output current monitoring, C/10 charge termination, and output shorted flags. The device is available in a 38-lead TSSOP with an exposed pad, suitable for surface mount applications.
