The LT3571IUD#PBF is a current mode step-up DC/DC converter from Analog Devices, designed to bias avalanche photodiodes (APDs) in optical receivers with an output voltage up to 75V. It integrates a power switch, Schottky diode, and an APD current monitor, enabling a small solution footprint and low cost.
Key features include a high APD voltage capability of up to 70V, a 75V/370mA internal switch, and an adjustable operating frequency range from 250kHz to 2MHz. The device supports both constant-voltage and constant-current regulation, with programmable current limit protection. Its integrated high-side current monitor offers better than 10% relative accuracy over four decades of dynamic range.
The LT3571IUD#PBF operates with a wide input voltage range of 2.7V to 20V and features low shutdown current (<1μA). It includes internal soft-start and compensation, and the CTRL pin allows for output adjustment without polarity inversion. The device is housed in a compact 3mm x 3mm 16-lead QFN package, suitable for surface mounting.
This converter is ideal for applications such as APD bias, PIN diode bias, and in optical receivers and modules, as well as fiber optic network equipment.
