The LT1964ES5-SD#TRMPBF is a micropower, low noise, low dropout negative regulator from Linear Technology, capable of supplying 200mA of output current with a dropout voltage of 340mV. Its low quiescent current of 30μA in operation and 3μA in shutdown makes it suitable for battery-powered applications.
This regulator features low output noise, reducing to 30μVRMS over a 10Hz to 100kHz bandwidth with an external 0.01μF bypass capacitor. It is stable with output capacitors as low as 1μF and can utilize small ceramic capacitors without the need for additional ESR. Internal protection circuitry includes reverse output protection, current limiting, and thermal limiting.
The LT1964 is available with a fixed output voltage of -5V or as an adjustable device. It supports positive or negative shutdown logic and is offered in low profile ThinSOT and DFN packages.
Applications include battery-powered instruments, low noise regulators for noise-sensitive instrumentation, and as a negative complement to positive LDO families.
