The LT1962EMS8#TRPBF is a 300mA, low noise, micropower LDO regulator from Analog Devices, designed for battery-powered applications. It features a low quiescent current of 30µA and a low dropout voltage of 270mV at 300mA. The device offers an adjustable output voltage from 1.22V to 20V and is stable with output capacitors as low as 3.3µF.
Key electrical characteristics include low output noise of 20µV RMS over a 10Hz to 100kHz bandwidth, a wide input voltage range of 1.8V to 20V, and very low shutdown current of less than 1µA. Internal protection circuitry includes reverse battery protection, current limiting, and thermal limiting.
This regulator is available in an 8-lead MSOP package, suitable for surface mount applications. Its features make it ideal for noise-sensitive instrumentation, cellular phones, and other battery-powered systems where low power consumption and low noise are critical.
Mounting is via surface mount technology. The package is an 8-MSOP. Protection features include over current, over temperature, and reverse polarity protection.
