The LS7222 is a monolithic CMOS integrated circuit designed for programmable keyless lock systems. It provides all necessary memory, decoder, and control logic to manage electro-mechanical locks.
This IC can be programmed to recognize three distinct 4-digit codes: an Arm code to lock, a Disarm code to unlock, and a Duress code to unlock and trigger an alarm. Programming is performed via a matrix keypad, with a maximum allowable size of 4x4.
Key features include low current consumption, momentary and static lock control outputs, internal key debounce circuitry, tamper detection output, and status outputs. The LS7222 operates over a voltage range of +4V to +15V and is available in DIP and SOIC packages.
Its low power CMOS design makes it suitable for battery-backed and automotive security systems.
