The Texas Instruments LP8861QPWPRQ1 is a versatile LED driver designed for automotive applications, including backlighting for infotainment systems, dashboards, and head-up displays. It offers four high-precision current sinks, each capable of delivering up to 100mA per channel.
The device operates over a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 40V, accommodating automotive start-stop conditions and load dumps. It integrates a Boost/SEPIC converter with an output voltage up to 45V, optimizing power consumption by adapting the output voltage to the minimum required level.
