This IC features a built-in DC/DC controller for single 12V supply operation with high efficiency, reaching up to 94% at 750mA. It offers two selectable output current limits (450mA / 750mA) and an accurate built-in 22KHz tone oscillator compliant with EUTELSAT and DIRECTV specifications. The device includes internal protections against overload and over-temperature, as well as LNB short circuit SOA protection with I2C diagnostic bits.
Designed for low component count and low power dissipation, the LNBH21PD-TR utilizes a semi-low-drop post regulator and a high-efficiency step-up PWM for minimal power loss. It supports bi-directional DiSEqC 2.0 with a built-in 22KHz tone detector and features cable length digital compensation. The IC is assembled in a PowerSO-20 package, suitable for surface mount applications.
