The Texas Instruments LMZ23608TZE/NOPB is an 8A SIMPLE SWITCHER power module designed for non-isolated point-of-load (PoL) applications. It operates from a 6V to 36V input voltage range and provides an adjustable output from 0.8V to 6V. The module uses a synchronous buck topology and can also be configured as an inverting buck-boost. It delivers up to 93% efficiency and features peak current mode control with a switching frequency adjustable from 350kHz to 600kHz.

 

This surface-mount module is housed in a TO-PMOD-11 package measuring 15.0mm x 15.0mm x 5.9mm. It includes an integrated shielded inductor, enabling simple PCB layout and reduced EMI. Additional features include current sharing capability, frequency synchronization, enable control, tracking, and flexible start-up sequencing. The module is fully enabled for WEBENCH Power Designer and is pin compatible with several other SIMPLE SWITCHER modules.

 

The LMZ23608TZE/NOPB is rated for commercial ITE applications and has an operating junction temperature range of -40°C to 125°C. It includes protection against inrush currents and faults such as input UVLO and output short circuit.
