The LMT86LP from Texas Instruments is a precision CMOS analog temperature sensor designed for a wide operating temperature range of -50°C to 150°C. It provides a linear analog voltage output that is inversely proportional to temperature, with a typical accuracy of ±0.4°C and a maximum of ±2.7°C.
With a low operating voltage capability of 2.2V and a quiescent current of just 5.4µA, the LMT86LP is suitable for power-sensitive battery-powered applications. Its output provides a sensor gain of approximately -10.9mV/°C. The sensor is housed in a TO-92-3 package and is designed for through-hole mounting.
This device is footprint compatible with industry-standard sensors like the LM20/19 and LM35, making it a cost-effective alternative to thermistors. The LMT86LP is also RoHS3 compliant and has an MSL rating of 1.
