The LMK00304SQ/NOPB from Texas Instruments is a high-frequency, low-jitter differential fanout buffer designed for clock distribution and level translation applications. It operates at frequencies up to 3.1 GHz.

This device features a 3:5 input-to-output ratio, with two universal inputs that accept various signal types including LVPECL, LVDS, CML, SSTL, HSTL, and HCSL, as well as single-ended clocks. It also includes a dedicated crystal input for crystals from 10 MHz to 40 MHz. The outputs are configurable into two banks, each with two differential outputs, supporting LVPECL, LVDS, or HCSL drivers, or can be disabled. An additional LVCMOS output with a synchronous enable input is also provided for runt-pulse-free operation.

The LMK00304SQ/NOPB operates with a core supply voltage of 3.3V and offers three independent output supply voltages (2.5V or 3.3V). It is housed in a 32-lead WQFN package measuring 5 mm x 5 mm and is designed for surface mounting. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C.

Key electrical characteristics include low additive RMS jitter of 51 fs (12 kHz to 20 MHz) and high Power Supply Rejection Ratio (PSRR) of -65 dBc for LVPECL and -76 dBc for LVDS at 156.25 MHz. This makes it suitable for demanding timing applications requiring precise clock distribution.
