The LM82CIMQA/NOPB from Texas Instruments is a versatile digital temperature sensor designed for accurate temperature monitoring. It supports both local on-board temperature sensing and remote sensing of diode-connected devices or ICs, making it suitable for various thermal management applications.
This sensor features an I2C and SMBus compatible interface, allowing for easy integration into existing systems. It operates within a supply voltage range of 3.0V to 3.6V and consumes a maximum of 0.8mA of supply current. The operating temperature range is from -40°C to 125°C.
Accuracy specifications include ±3°C for local sensing from 0°C to 85°C, and ±3°C to ±4°C for remote diode sensing depending on the temperature range. The sensor provides a 7-bit plus sign temperature data format with 1°C resolution. It is available in a 16-SSOP surface mount package.
