The LM75AIMX/NOPB from Texas Instruments is an industry-standard digital temperature sensor featuring an integrated sigma-delta analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and an I2C interface. This device provides 9-bit digital temperature readings with an accuracy of ±2°C from -25°C to 100°C and ±3°C over the full -55°C to 125°C range.
Designed for flexibility, the LM75AIMX/NOPB operates with a single supply voltage from 2.7 V to 5.5 V. Communication is handled via a 2-wire interface that supports speeds up to 400 kHz. The sensor includes three address pins, allowing up to eight LM75A devices to be connected on the same bus. It also features a dedicated overtemperature output (O.S.) with programmable limit and hysteresis for thermal monitoring applications.
This temperature sensor is housed in an 8-SOIC surface mount package, measuring 0.154 inches (3.90mm) in width. It requires no external components for operation and can function as a stand-alone thermostat due to its power-up default settings. The typical operating current is 280 μA, with a shutdown mode consuming only 4 μA to minimize power consumption.
