The LM75AIMM from Texas Instruments is an industry-standard digital temperature sensor featuring an integrated sigma-delta analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and an I2C/SMBus interface. This sensor provides 9-bit digital temperature readings with a maximum accuracy of ±2°C from -25°C to 100°C, and ±3°C over the full -55°C to 125°C operating range.
Designed for efficiency, the LM75AIMM operates with a single supply voltage from 2.7 V to 5.5 V. It consumes a typical operating current of 280 µA, which can be reduced to 4 µA in shutdown mode to minimize power consumption. Communication is handled via a 2-wire interface operating up to 400 kHz. The device supports up to eight LM75A devices on a single bus due to its three address pins.
Key features include an overtemperature output (O.S.) with programmable limit and hysteresis, and programmable fault tolerance. The LM75AIMM is available in SOIC (D) and VSSOP (DGK) packages, both supporting surface mount installation. Its robust performance and versatile interface make it suitable for a wide array of applications requiring precise temperature monitoring.
