LM710CH

The LM710CH is a high-speed voltage comparator designed for accurate, low-level digital sensing or as a fast replacement for operational amplifiers in comparator applications. Built on a single silicon chip, it ensures low offset and thermal drift. Its design, utilizing minority-carrier lifetime control, makes it significantly faster than operational amplifiers in saturating comparator applications.

Key electrical specifications include a positive supply voltage of up to 14V and a negative supply voltage down to -7V. The device can handle a peak output current of 10mA and a differential input voltage of ±5V. Power dissipation is rated at 700mW for the TO-99 package and 950mW for the plastic dual-in-line package.

Operating temperature ranges from -55°C to +125°C for the LM710 and 0°C to +70°C for the LM710C. Storage temperature range is -65°C to +150°C. The LM710 series is useful in applications such as pulse height discriminators, high-speed A/D converters, go/no-go detectors, and as an interface between logic types.
