LM2415T

The LM2415T from Texas Instruments is an integrated high-voltage CRT driver circuit specifically designed for color monitor applications. This monolithic IC contains three high input impedance, wide bandwidth amplifiers that directly drive the RGB cathodes of a CRT. Each channel has an internally set gain of -14 and can handle CRT capacitive loads as well as resistive loads in other applications, limited only by the package's power dissipation.

Key electrical characteristics include a typical supply current of 13 mA per channel and a bias current of 14 mA for all three channels. The device boasts a fast 5.5 ns rise time and a 6.0 ns fall time, with a maximum overshoot of 5%. It operates within a supply voltage range of 60V to 85V (VCC) and 8V to 15V (VBB), with an input voltage range of 0V to 5V (VIN).

The LM2415T is packaged in an industry-standard 11-lead TO-220 molded plastic power package, suitable for through-hole mounting. Its staggered lead package style and standard LM240X Family pinout are designed for easy PCB layout. This driver is well-matched with LM1279 and LM1282 video preamps and is stable with 0 pF–20 pF capacitive loads.

Applications for the LM2415T include 1280 x 1024 displays up to 75 Hz refresh rates and pixel clock frequencies up to 135 MHz, particularly in monitors using video blanking.
