LM193J/883

The LM193J/883 from Texas Instruments is a dual, independent precision voltage comparator IC. It is designed for low power consumption and features a low offset voltage specification. This comparator operates from a wide supply voltage range, from 2.0V DC to 36V DC, and can also function with split power supplies ranging from ±1.0V to ±18V.

Key electrical characteristics include a typical supply current drain of 0.4 mA, low input biasing current of 25 nA, and low input offset current of ±5 nA. The input common-mode voltage range includes ground, and the differential input voltage range is equal to the power supply voltage. The output voltage is compatible with TTL, DTL, ECL, MOS, and CMOS logic systems. The device has a typical propagation delay of 700ns.

This comparator is housed in an 8-pin CDIP (Ceramic Dual In-line Package) with through-hole mounting. It is rated for an operating temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. The LM193J/883 is also available with radiation guarantees, including Total Ionizing Dose and ELDRS Free up to 100 krad(Si).

Applications for the LM193 series include limit comparators, simple analog-to-digital converters, pulse and squarewave generators, time delay generators, and wide-range VCOs. Its design allows direct interfacing with TTL and CMOS logic.
