LIS3DSHTR

The LIS3DSH is an ultra-low-power, high-performance three-axis linear accelerometer from STMicroelectronics, belonging to the "nano" family. It offers dynamically selectable full scales of ±2g/±4g/±6g/±8g/±16g and is capable of measuring accelerations with output data rates from 3.125 Hz to 1.6 kHz. The device supports I2C/SPI digital output interfaces and provides 16-bit data output.

Key features include an embedded temperature sensor, self-test capability, and a FIFO buffer for reduced host processor intervention. The LIS3DSH is designed for a wide supply voltage range of 1.71 V to 3.6 V, with independent IOs supply compatibility. It is guaranteed to operate over an extended temperature range from -40 °C to +85 °C.

This accelerometer is available in a small, thin plastic land grid array (LGA) package, making it suitable for space-constrained applications. Its robust design includes 10000 g high shock survivability and ECOPACK® RoHS and “Green” compliance.

Applications for the LIS3DSH include motion-controlled user interfaces, gaming, virtual reality, pedometers, intelligent power saving for handheld devices, display orientation, click/double click recognition, impact recognition and logging, and vibration monitoring and compensation.
