The STMicroelectronics LIS3DSHTR is a high-performance, ultra-low-power three-axis digital accelerometer. It belongs to the "nano" family and features a programmable embedded state machine for autonomous applications.
This accelerometer offers dynamically selectable full-scale ranges of ±2g, ±4g, ±6g, ±8g, and ±16g, with output data rates from 3.125 Hz to 1.6 kHz. It supports I2C and SPI digital output interfaces and provides 16-bit data output. The device includes an embedded temperature sensor and a self-test capability for verifying sensor function.
The LIS3DSHTR is available in a small, thin plastic land grid array (LGA) package, measuring 3x3 mm. It is designed for surface mounting and is guaranteed to operate over an extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
Key features include an embedded FIFO buffer to reduce host processor intervention, 10000g high shock survivability, and ECOPACK® RoHS and "Green" compliance. Applications include motion-controlled user interfaces, gaming, virtual reality, pedometers, and intelligent power saving for handheld devices.
