The LIS331HH from STMicroelectronics is an ultra-low-power, high-performance 3-Axes linear accelerometer belonging to the "nano" family. It features a digital I2C/SPI serial interface and dynamically selectable full scales of ±6g, ±12g, or ±24g. The device is capable of measuring accelerations with output data rates from 0.5 Hz to 1 kHz and provides a 16-bit data output.
Designed for advanced power saving, the LIS331HH includes ultra-low-current operational modes down to 10 µA, along with smart sleep-to-wake-up functions. It boasts two independent programmable interrupt engines for recognizing dedicated inertial events, with programmable thresholds and timing.
This accelerometer is available in a small, thin plastic land grid array (LGA) package, specifically LGA16 (3x3x1 mm), suitable for surface mounting. It is guaranteed to operate over an extended temperature range from -40 °C to +85 °C and offers 10000 g high shock survivability.
