LFCV-52+

The Mini-Circuits LFCV-52+ is an LTCC-based 7-section low pass filter that extends filtering capabilities down to 52 MHz. This filter is designed to save power and system complexity in designs that previously required active or lumped element filtering for lower frequencies.

Key electrical specifications include a passband insertion loss of typically 0.9 dB from DC to 52 MHz, with a return loss of typically 20 dB in the same range. The filter exhibits a frequency cut-off of 99 MHz (3 dB) and provides significant stopband rejection, with a minimum of 20 dB at 140 MHz, 40 dB from 170 MHz to 1100 MHz, and 13 dB at 1200 MHz.

This filter is capable of handling up to 7W CW signal power without damage, making it suitable for medium power transmit paths. It operates over a wide temperature range of -55°C to +125°C, with minimal passband insertion loss variation. The LFCV-52+ is housed in a compact EIA 1210 SMT chip form factor measuring 3.2mm x 2.5mm.

Applications for the LFCV-52+ include harmonic rejection, VHF/UHF transmitters and receivers, and anti-aliasing for A/D converters. It is hermetically sealed and protected by U.S. Patent 6,943,646.
