The Le79114 VoiceEdge™ Control Processor II (VCP II) from Microchip Technology is a second-generation platform designed for cost-effective voice solutions. It provides enhanced call control, self-test, and line test capabilities, working with Zarlink Ve790 devices via SPI, PCM, and GPIO interfaces.
Key features include 64 channels of call control and 32 channels of simultaneous DTMF detection. The device supports serial and parallel host controller interfaces and can control up to 16 Quad ISLAC devices. It offers two master SPI ports and 32 General Purpose I/Os, with 16 configured as chip selects and 16 for interrupts. Two slave PCM highway ports support single or dual PCM highways up to 16.384 MHz.
