The LCDA05 is a bidirectional TVS diode array from SMC Diode Solutions, part of the LCDA03-LCDA24 series. It uses solid-state silicon avalanche technology to protect sensitive electronics from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and other voltage-induced transient events.
Electrically, the device features a maximum stand-off voltage of 5V, a minimum breakdown voltage of 6V at 1mA, and a maximum clamping voltage of 9.8V at 1A. It can handle peak pulse power of 300W with an 8/20µs waveform and peak pulse current of 1A. The leakage current at stand-off voltage is 20µA maximum, and the capacitance is a low 5pF at 1MHz, suitable for high-speed data lines. The temperature coefficient of breakdown voltage is 1mV/°C at 1mA.
The LCDA05 is housed in an 8-SOIC surface mount package (supplier package 8-SO) and weighs approximately 0.1 grams. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 125°C and can be stored from -55°C to 150°C. The lead soldering temperature is 260°C for 10 seconds. Packaging options include Tape & Reel (2500 pcs per reel) or Tube.
The device is RoHS3 compliant and Pb-Free. It is designed for general purpose applications including high-speed data lines, USB port protection, microprocessor-based equipment, notebooks, desktops, servers, instrumentation, LAN/WAN equipment, and peripherals.
