The LC709203FQH-01TWG from On Semiconductor is an advanced fuel gauge IC specifically designed for 1-cell Lithium-ion and Lithium-Polymer batteries. It is part of the Smart LiB Gauge family, employing the unique HG-CVR algorithm. This technology eliminates the need for an external sense resistor, providing accurate Relative State Of Charge (RSOC) information even under varying battery conditions such as temperature changes, loading, aging, and self-discharge.
Key electrical specifications include a wide operating voltage range of -0.3V to 6.8V, precision voltage measurement with an accuracy of ±7.5 mV, and a precision timer with ±3.5% accuracy. The device features an I2C interface supporting up to 400 kHz for communication and temperature sensing via a thermistor input or directly through I2C.
