L6728HTR Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The STMicroelectronics L6728HTR is a single-phase step-down PWM controller designed for general DC-DC converters. It integrates high-current drivers and provides complete control logic and protection in a compact DFN10 package.

This controller supports flexible power supplies ranging from 5V to 12V, with a power conversion input as low as 1.5V. It features an internal 0.8V reference with 0.8% output voltage accuracy, and an oscillator fixed at 300kHz. The L6728HTR includes programmable over-current protection (OCP) across the low-side RDS(on), over-voltage (OV) and under-voltage (UV) protections, and VSEN disconnection protection.

Key features include an adjustable output voltage, disable function, and internal soft-start. The Power Good output provides real-time information on the output voltage status. This device is suitable for applications such as memory and termination supplies, subsystem power supplies (MCH, IOCH, PCI), CPU and DSP power supplies, and distributed power supplies.

The L6728HTR is available in a 10-DFN (3x3) package and is designed for surface mount applications.
