The STMicroelectronics L6384E is a high-voltage half bridge driver manufactured using BCD "OFF-LINE" technology. This device is engineered to drive N-channel Power MOS or IGBT transistors, with its high-side floating section capable of operating with voltage rails up to 600V.
Key electrical specifications include a dV/dt immunity of ±50V/nsec across the full temperature range. The driver provides a current capability of 400mA for sourcing and 650mA for sinking. Switching times are rated at 50nsec for rise and 30nsec for fall with a 1nF load.
The L6384E features CMOS/TTL Schmitt trigger inputs with hysteresis and pull-down resistors for ease of interfacing. Additional integrated features include a shut down input, dead time setting via an external resistor, under-voltage lockout protection, an integrated bootstrap diode, and clamping on VCC.
Available in SO-8 and DIP-8 packages, the L6384E is suitable for applications requiring robust half-bridge driving capabilities.
