The ALG L6219DS is a dual full-bridge PWM motor driver capable of driving both windings of a bipolar stepper motor or bidirectionally controlling two DC motors. Both bridges can sustain up to 45 V and include internal pulse-width modulation (PWM) control for output current up to 750 mA. The outputs are optimized for low saturation voltage drop.
For PWM current control, the maximum output current is determined by user selection of a reference voltage and sensing resistor. Two logic-level inputs allow selection of output current limits at 0, 33, 67, or 100% of the maximum level. A PHASE input to each bridge controls the load current direction.
The device features internal clamp and flyback diodes for protection against inductive transients. Internally generated delays prevent crossover currents during direction switching. Thermal protection circuitry disables the outputs if the chip temperature exceeds safe operating limits. Special power-up sequencing is not required.
The L6219DS is supplied in a 24-pin surface-mountable SOIC package. It is lead (Pb) free with 100% matte tin leadframe plating.
The motor supply voltage range is 10V to 46V (maximum 45V), and the logic supply voltage range is 4.75V to 5.25V (maximum 7.0V).
The L6219DS is available in a 24-SOIC surface mount package.
The operating ambient temperature range is -20°C to 85°C, and the junction temperature can range up to 150°C.
Yes, the L6219DS is lead (Pb) free with 100% matte tin leadframe plating.
The continuous output current is 750mA, and the peak output current is 1.0A.
The storage temperature range is -55°C to 150°C.
