The Kionix KXSC7-2050 is a tri-axis analog accelerometer utilizing silicon micromachining technology. It provides a full-scale output range of +/-2g (19.6 m/s/s) and is built on Kionix's proprietary plasma micromachining process.
Acceleration sensing is based on a differential capacitance principle, enhanced by common mode cancellation to reduce errors from process variations, temperature, and environmental stress. The device is hermetically sealed at the wafer level. A separate ASIC handles signal conditioning and self-test functions.
This accelerometer is supplied in a compact 3 x 3 x 0.9mm Land Grid Array (LGA) plastic package. It operates from a wide DC supply voltage range of 1.8 to 3.6V. The KXSC7 series includes features like a factory programmable low pass filter and an inertial wakeup interrupt, making it suitable for various motion detection and monitoring tasks.
